Do you see clients at night?
| |
Yes. Evening hours are available for career counseling, Monday
- Thursday.
Weekend hours are available on an as needed basis for out of town clients. |
How many sessions does career counseling involve?
| |
We tailor our counseling to whatever the client needs and so there is no set
number of sessions involved. We average about 3-5 sessions with our clients and
they can be spaced out in whatever time frame meets the clients needs. There is
no obligation to continue with the counseling at any point. |
What methods of payment do you accept for your services? |
| |
Our clients pay by
cash, check or credit card at the end of each appointment. We will bill
a third party if an employer or family member is paying for the counseling. |
Is career counseling covered by health insurance?
| |
No. |
Is the testing done during the sessions?
| |
No. Many of the tests we administer can actually be done at home.
The testing is usually given to the client after the first appointment and mailed back
to us so that it will be scored before the second appointment. Some of the tests
must be administered in our office and we schedule this outside of a counseling
session. |

Do you give your clients information about specific jobs that are available
or specific networking contacts?
| |
We are careful that clients who come to The BrownMiller Group understand that
we are neither an employment agency nor headhunters and thus do not provide placement
as a part of our services. However since we have been doing career counseling in
this community for many years, we do often have ideas of contacts who would be
valuable to talk to or companies that it would be smart to consider. We are
happy to share these ideas with you. |

Do you write resumes for your clients?
| |
We provide a great deal of resume assistance to clients. We will edit an
existing draft or, if you do not currently have a resume, we will introduce you
to the format that we believe works best for your career target and guide you
through the process of writing the resume. However, we believe that it is
important that our clients write their own resumes not only because of the value
of going through this process but also so that you can put your own personal
touch on it. |
